Cyber security and tech insurance specialists CFC set out to test out a new kind of workspace for their team in creating their Innovation Hub. TFP was brought on to work alongside designer Cardo, helping to develop visuals, layout and specification for a collaborative and seamless office space.

A pilot space for future ways of working

Following the significant shifts in office function felt universally in recent years, CFC Underwriting sought to trial a new workspace for their tech transformation team. With the aim of creating a welcoming and effective workspace for the team’s return to the office, the Innovation Hub serves as a pilot for possible integration into a new building.

Generous breakout spaces and seamless integration of tech

CFC’s new office needed to encourage collaboration and optimise communication between colleagues. Breakout spaces and meeting areas were therefore a key focus, and The Furniture Practice helped to produce varied layout ideas and furniture specifications to achieve an optimum environment for teamwork. Integration of tech was a natural priority, and our team worked on bespoke solutions for video conferencing throughout the space.

Close cooperation with design and build throughout

We worked closely with the design and build teams to ensure furniture was fully integrated with the rest of the project. Tables were stained to match the flooring; private booths were tied in with the partition glazing and we developed shelving with the contractors to complement the joinery. The result was an elegant, business-like but welcoming office space where form aligned with function.
