TFP announces departure of Director of Sustainability, Matt Davies
After an incredible 20 years, we extend our best wishes to an esteemed TFP leader, Matt Davies, Director of Sustainability. Matt, who has been an invaluable member of our team, will be leaving TFP later this year to pursue new ventures after a remarkable two-decade tenure.
Throughout his extensive journey at TFP, Matt has played a pivotal role in our company’s growth and success. Before assuming the role of Director of Sustainability, Matt led our sales team for over 10 years, fostering strong relationships with clients, project teams and manufacturers, and spearheading numerous successful initiatives. His passion for innovation and delivering project excellence ultimately led to the establishment of TFP's dedicated Sustainability Department in 2021 and the addition of Phil Towle, Head of Sustainability, shortly thereafter.
Under Matt's leadership, we have achieved significant progress in integrating sustainable practices into TFP's operations, culminating in our B Corp certification earlier this year. Matt has been an industry pioneer in supporting clients to achieve their ESG project targets, while collaborating with designers, manufacturers and organisations, such as the Sustainable Design Collective, to drive positive change throughout the industry.
As Matt moves on to new endeavours, he leaves in position a highly knowledgeable sustainability team, headed by Phil Towle, and ably supported by Alex Webb, as they continue to lead and drive TFP’s sustainability consultancy and practices.
"Matt has been an invaluable asset to The Furniture Practice, and we are tremendously grateful for his exceptional contributions," said Ken Kelly, MD of TFP. "His unwavering passion and talent for building strong relationships and driving sustainability efforts have been instrumental in shaping TFP's growth and collaborations with clients and the wider industry. While we will miss his expertise and leadership, he has left a solid legacy in his role for us to build on both with our sustainability initiatives, and our supplier relationships."
We extend our deepest gratitude to Matt for his commitment to delivering project excellence and invaluable contributions to TFP.
Goodbye but not farewell, Matt!
