Nuez Lounge BIO, Andreu World
Nuez Lounge BIO completes the chair, armchair, table and stool family designed by Patricia Urquiola for Andreu World. Its three-dimensional and enveloping shell, which folds like a sheet of paper, is created from a thermopolymer of natural origin, not fossil, generated by living microorganisms, making it biodegradable and compostable. In addition, it is 100% recyclable and is designed so that the materials that comprise it can be easily separated.
Adell, Arper
With low rounded curves, Adell evokes a precious keepsake from the natural world—whether in use indoors or out. With a shell made from 80% recycled polypropylene, the calming form has been designed with sustainability at its foundation, putting both body and mind at ease. Plush yet supportive, substantial yet lightweight, Adell’s gentle slopes offer a welcoming and generous place of rest.
Aston Club, Arper
Created with ergonomic comfort and sustainability at its core, Aston Club evolves the Aston design to offer sumptuous comfort contained within an elegant and evocative silhouette. Aston Club’s internal parts are made from post-industrial recycled plastic; it can be entirely disassembled and all materials recycled or upcycled and incorporated into the life cycle of other products, reducing overall waste. As well as using a powder-based coat that is free of VOC* emissions, Aston Club is produced without any glue in order to further reduce the emissions and allowing for the responsible disposal of all component parts.
C-Chair, Gubi
Designed by French designer Marcel Gascoin (1907-1986), the C-Chair editions from Gubi include a revival of the original version from 1947 with hand-woven paper cord, a new edition with veneer, two versions with upholstered seat and back rests, and a French cane edition. Eco-credentials for the Gascoin Dining Collection include FSC-certified oak, formaldehyde-free glue and all-natural materials – plus all plastic has been removed from the packaging.
Arne Jacobson Stacking Chairs, Fritz Hansen
Fritz Hanson have introduced A SENSE OF COLOUR – a new palette of 16 compatible colours and 7 new bases for Grand Prix, Ant and Series 7 chairs by celebrated post-war Danish designer and architect. Carefully curated in collaboration with Italian gallerist and editor Carla Sozzani, each colour has been developed to not only complement the natural materials of the designs, but to also complement each other.
Chaise Tout Bois, Vitra
Chaise Tout Bois is the only chair by the French ‘constructeur’ and designer Jean Prouvé that is made entirely out of wood. The design is very similar to Prouvé’s famous Standard chair, but wood was substituted for the metal base due to the scarcity of metal during the Second World War. Chaise Tout Bois by Vitra corresponds to one of Jean Prouvé’s design variants from 1941, whose construction does not require a single screw. The height and seat geometry are the same as those of the Standard chair and thus meet current norms and requirements.
Curtain is the new solid wood table manufactured by Zeitraum and designed by the designer duo Julia Läufer and Marcus Keichel. The dominant wave form is crafted from a solid block in a sculptural manner, carried out by latest CNC technology. The base is subsequently sanded by hand and oiled, bringing the flowing movement to life.
